Hernia Types
Inguinal Hernia - a bulge occurring on either side of the pubic bone
Femoral Hernia - a bulge occurring below the groin in the upper thigh area
Umbilical Hernia - a bulge occurring in the belly button area
Ventral Hernia - a bulge along the midline of the abdomen
Incisional Hernia - a bulge at the site of a previous surgery, usually below a scar
Hiatal Hernia - a defect in the diaphragm allowing abdominal organs to slide into the chest cavity
