Hemorrhoid Surgery

Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the rectum and anus that can cause discomfort and bleeding. They usually are a result of repeat straining during bowel movements, but also can arise secondary to obesity or pregnancy.

Hemorrhoids are best prevented with eating a high fiber diet and avoiding straining with bowel movements.
